How have they performed for what you use it for?

Downsides you have noticed?

Overall opinion on the frame?

Recommendations for body type to frame match.....me: 6' tall, long torso, 34" waist, 200#.

Thanks in advance.

I had a 26 tactical. Ran a reckoning on it and attached a woodsman to it for 1 short trip.

They are fine and can haul a boat load. Build was confidence inspiring but I did use it long enough or hard enough to access durability. I ended up selling it in favor of a Mystery ranch pack. It just did not carry as well for me as the MR but it was more of a preference issue than any realobjective reason.

I sorta feel like once you get to a certain level of pack, the differences between the elite brands have a lot to do with user preference and comfort.

I ran one for 2 years it was a great frame but I have a wierd back and never could quite get it to fit just right. I packed out 4 elk with it and have no complaints in that department. It is a stiff frame which is good in some aspects but not as flexible or comfortable. No issues with durability what soever. I am 6'2” 215 and ran a 26 frame.

Did you run the Kifaru or SG X Curve? Thanks

Just ordered the xcurve from James River Archery using the memorial day and rok codes.....the frame and 1 acc pouch was $280 delivered. They have free shipping over $100.

I have an x curve and love it. I have a long torso and am about your height. I tried on several packs with weight and the x curve was the sweet spot for me. I have hauled out a few deer, antelope, and two elk with it over the last year. Totes a load like a champ. I think you'll like it.

I used the Kifaru tactical on the moose hunt with the Grab it 2 and Nomad 2. It packed the big loads great. I added more compression straps to it. I'm 6ft and 250lbs. I used the 26" Kifaru.

Most hunts I prefer my Exo 3500 due to bag layout and it being lighter. I ordered my Kifaru like I did specifically for loads that were really heavy or bulky and it's great for that.

I probably don't live that far from you. I loaned my Kifaru to another member here but have the Exo. I might be able to line it up for you to try them, I definitely could after this September when my Kifaru comes back.

Appreciate that and will keep it in mind. I live in Douglas county.

I'm west of you around an hour. My Kifaru is currently in KC. If you decide you want to try them sometime shoot me a PM.

Comparing the xcurve frame would be better to compare it to the Kifaru duplex lite frame. I have owned both. duplex lite does not barrel as much as the xcurve.

James River Archery got my frame here today from a Monday late night order. I stole some buckles and got a Molle radio pouch with 35# mounted on it and the put a sustainment pouch over that for a place to carry some stuff while I check er out!

Looks good Zap! I have MCseals Tac 26 frame and I’ve been testing it before I buy. I like it a lot. The belt on this frame is great. I went turkey hunting with the frame, primos blind, blind chair, decoy, and gun all strapped to it. Only thing missing was hauling out a bird! You live right between me and MCSeal2.

Hope the Tornado missed you.

Tornado was south of me, but I worked out that way today. It looked like Godzilla went on the warpath thru some rural houses and the woods......probably 150-200 yard wide whup azz lane.

Getting this frame lined out and maybe try it tomorrow evening after squats.....:ROFLMAO:…...seems like a good light frame too me. Just getting it adjusted the 39# feels lighter than it is and the weight is right on the base of my back, spine-pelvis junction.

It would be nice to have both frames for a week or two to compare but I think maybe with Kifaru there is a bit of a wait. I will call them tomorrow and see what's up with that. The Kifaru looks heavier built.

If you guys want too pack it there are good trails at Clinton, just arrange a time and we can do that.

Not to steal the thread but wanted to say hi to some fellow Kansas residents! I’m over in KC and pack shopping right now as well for my first elk trip this fall. Fun times!

I’ve been using a 28” tactical frame for about 2 years now, I also have an xcurve but different packs for different things. I was just out on a 2 night trip with my wife and loaded it with about 50lbs and had absolutely no issues, I’ve also hauled moose quarters with a cargo panel and stuff like that. It’s a beefy pack, the 28” frame with the fulcrum dosent make for the lightest set up but when weight is an issue, I have the stone glacier to handle that.
