No Vikings in Finland.

Or that's what's taught. Who knows.

Anyone who sticks to that convoluted of a language could easily muck up Barrett twist rates

I have a T3x in 7mm RM with no brake. I swapped out the stock butt pad for a Limbsaver. It does suck up quite a bit of recoil, and it's really not that bad to shoot. You might want to try a Limbsaver and see what you think before shelling out the money for a brake.

So...after reading a lot of the comments here and other posts I’m now unsure about getting a Tikka in 300WM because of the twist rate. Like I said earlier I want a lighter rifle then the Savage but also one that is capable of shooting longer distances. I may not ever shoot out to 800 yds or so but If i decide I want to I am hoping this future rifle is up to it. I will never attempt a shot that far at an animal but I would at a chunk of steel. Am I over thinking all of this or am I headed down the right path? Do I need to be looking at rifles with a 1 in 10 twist? I do want a rifle that is fully capable of 400-500 yards.

If you want to shoot the long high BC bullets the tikka in 300 WM is a poor choice imo. The magazine is way to short and the twist is to slow to really use them like others have said.

They do fit the WSM cartridges nicely if they had the right twist.
