My 2011 public land buck

I got this one on Oct 28, 2011 here in WI. My taxidermist scored him right at 150. I never noticed the split g-2 or the indentations in the main beam when he was walking in.

Yes, south west Wisconsin. Public ground is pretty scarce around these parts and this was my first year hunting this new piece. I dont use trail cameras so I actually killed this deer on my first trip into this particular spot. I use a Lone Wolf climber and tend to sneak in early and out late so as not to disturb the area. The pics were taken on a farm my buddy hunts, we both shot bucks the same evening and we were still looking for his the next morning.

Nice work on the buck! My best whitetails have came from public land. Last years whitetail went 174 3/8". I never thought I would have an opporunity at a buck like that on the public ground area I was hunting. It is awesome what you can turn up in areas that you know little about! Great job buddy!
