Alright here we go.. I'm starting this off at 5'8" and 174#. I have a 33" waist. My goal is to drop to 160# by 1 September. I'll settle for 165# if it feels better. To start off the week, I did a 2.5 mile trail run. It had rained all weekend including the day I went so the trail was pretty greasy. I started at 4,500 ft ASL and gained about 400 is all. Having spent the last month in Washington at 1,000 ft ASL, I could feel my lungs burning. I took 1 serving of enduro pre run but couldn't tell if it really worked or not. The next day was a pushup/situp circuit followed by a 5 mile run on the road. I took 1 serving of Yeti beforehand. I want to point out that my experience with supplements is limited however, past pre-workout mixes that I have tried made me feel really itchy. I get a strange tingling in my hands. I was happy to say that the Yeti did not make me feel like that which is great. In fact, I felt pretty good throughout the whole workout. Wednesday was supposed to be a short 3 mile trail run, but I got greedy and thought I would try a summit. I hiked/ran 6 miles with just about 3,000 ft of elevation gain. I'd like to point out that I ran the bottom of the basin, hiked the major part of the ascent, until it leveled off enough to run again. I ran down, nearly the whole way, only stopping for a few shale slides and some creek crossings. It was an excellent run and I plan on doing it again. I preceded the hike with Enduro and this time I felt like it made a difference. Thursday was a short 2 mile run on the road, trying to get my mile splits down. I have a PT test for the army coming up and I'm focusing on that run. After the PT test, I'm going to try some of these hikes/runs under load. Work capacity and cardio endurance has been and will be a goal throughout this month. Friday and Saturday were strength workouts because I was getting my cardio playing with my daughter. I fished all day Monday and slayed the Kokanee salmon. I've been using Ammo as a meal replacement shake for lunch, and I usually try eating mostly vegetables and chicken, turkey, or fish for dinner. All in all, the renu, phoenix, and blaze have been awesome. After 3 days using the supplements, I feel great. I don't get hungry throughout the day. I need to up my H2O intake. Next week, I will be in the field doing some training, however, I will have the availability to get into the gym. I will not be able to get up into the mountains, but I will be continuing with the cardio. I'll do a better job of posting pictures but I try not to workout around my phone as it ends up being a distraction most times due to work. Let me know what other information you'd like to see, and I'll try and accommodate.
