Does anyone know if the Kifaru Guide Lid will fit the MR pintler pack well. I bought the Pintler last year, should have done the Metcalf but i need a little bit more room now. Figured the guide lid might help make up the difference for my one elk hunt a year.

Thanks

You could rig it up. You may have to buy some straps and buckles.

A camp bag under your pintle Ron the load shelf is an option for extra room.

However, if you are looking for a lid, check out the nice guide lid. 15 liters instead of 19 for Kifaru but basically the same concept. It will also snap right into your frame. They are in the military accessories section.

Man, that's pricey........I like the Kifaru lid as its a little bigger in size and a littleg more inexpensive to buy.......been thinking of a Guide LIid and Grab-it 2 for the Guide Light frame.......

Don’t know if it would be the size you’re looking for, but Exo lids are very reasonably priced.

Rear connections on kifaru lids are ladderlocs, MR bags that run lids have female buckles on the frame sleeve and male ladderloc buckles on straps off the lid. So to run a kifaru lid you could use some male buckles on the ends of straps that feed through the ladderlocs on the lid. BUT the issue you have if I recall right is there aren't those female buckles on the pintler frame sleeve. There are the buckles off the rear top of the frame but those are fairly close together and might bunch up your lid.
