Moving out East (VA or WV) and I need a pep talk…

I hunt va and occasionally WV. You do have to work to find private property. But then ther is tons of public. George and Jefferson national forests for example. I still have not explored half of it in 40 years of hunting. Plus I seldom encounter other hunters except close to major towns where I seldom hunt.

There is no pressure on me in regard to hunting as I am also one of those people whose relatives have much private land. However, public is lots of fun for big bucks, grouse and sometimes Rabits. Squirrels are also plentiful.

Don't over look fishing. Strippers, small mouth bass and trout.

Always puzzled when people say hunting and fishing sucks in VA and WV. It tells me that someone is not trying very hard and wants everything handed to them on a plate. My only concern is I don't have enough time to hunt and fish it all.
