Concur! These are “bourbons”! A lot of stuff has been marketed as bourbon to meet the pallet of those who “want” to be a part of the bourbon craze! From this thread, I’ve gathered most of you guys don’t have the pallet for anything buffalo trace distillery (buffalo trace, eagle rare, Blantons, EH Taylor, and Pappy).
I do agree that pappy isn’t worth what people pay for it second hand. EH Taylor small batch is probably my favorite BT product. Eagle Rare is hard to beat for the money.

HA! Well… there’s always seagrams wine coolers!Basil Hayden - Over rated low proof garbage.
It's a great choice but I've only seen it once or twice here in Colorado. Must be a regional thing. My go-to in that situation is Bulleit. It's tasty enough, and available in every bar in the USA.
You have to note though that lil book is never the same year to year, so it can be hit and miss.I love Weller, but thought the single barrel was terrible. Really disappointed with that one. But 107 is probably my favorite next to EH.
Any of the old forester stuff is overrated in my opinion.
Lil Book I thought was terrible.
New Riff is not great either.
I left booker off for that reason, I have had a couple I really liked and a couple I was like thats just ok.You have to note though that lil book is never the same year to year, so it can be hit and miss.
Yeah bookers more often then not the last few years hasn’t been great but just takes one release.I left booker off for that reason, I have had a couple I really liked and a couple I was like thats just ok.
That's strange, I hadn't realized that. It's a $26 bottle in every single liquor store up the East Coast. It's a great choice but I've only seen it once or twice here in Colorado. Must be a regional thing.
