Most over-rated Bourbon?

Eagle Rare. I'll take Bulleit over it any day. I keep my bottle on hand to share with friends who come over letting them know its some super allocated good whiskey. Most agree its just so so.

At $90.00 a bottle for “4 branches” I hope this stuff doesn’t taste like piss.
I bought them as gifts and now have two extra due to the slow shipping of 4 branches, I found some in the area. Couldn’t cancel my order

For me it's Blanton's, Booker's and Kentucky Owl.

I don't like any of those three personally.

I'll stick with my Basil Hayden's which is damn good bourbon for it's price point. I much prefer it to the three I mentioned.

I think some of you have pretty crappy taste, but I'd agree, Blanton's isn't worth the hype and it's taken a couple bottles for me to figure that out.

Those of you saying Eagle Rare, I guess I should just toss the case I bought at $35 a pop right? Y'all talkin crazy. It's a good, all around bottle in my opinion, as is Weller Special Reserve. Just hard to find both in SC where I'm located.

Willet is the worse in a cool bottle. Willet Rye is great though

I think the hype on pappy is the older bottles. Someone had either a 23 or 25 year pappy at a gathering and it was quite amazing, but not a $80 bottle. Even though it was good, not worth what a bottle is going for now.
Buddy was in Ireland for the FSU/GT game this year. They had a bottle of 23 yr Pappy at a bar a large group of them were at, with a well heeled booster footing the bill. My buddy and another guy ordered a shot each of it. On the plane ride back, my buddy heard the booster was on the warpath and trying to figure out who ordered the Pappy that made up $1,500 of the tab ($750/ounce). Buddy wrote a hand written thank you note, but did not admit to his error. $750/shot is just criminal....
