I have a Model 70 in 30-06 that I'm planning on giving new life to with a custom build. Does anyone know the weight of the bare action with bolt?

2lbs 1.5 oz for a stripped long action with bolt. No trigger, magazine box, mag follower, spring, or bottom metal.

If I remember correctly, there is really only two length Model 70 actions, long, and short (and maybe one for the WSSM family of cartridges). The magnum Model 70 I believe just used different magazine boxes and different length ejectors / bolt stops for the 375 H&H family of cartridges vs the 338 Win Mag family. The weight of the long action is going to essentially be the same for all configurations.

A long "magnum" will be a tiny bit lighter. As there is a cartridge cut on the rear of the action.

Exactly, I'm trying to determine that weight difference between the long "magnum" and the long "standard" weights. Specifically in the pre 64s if possible.
