Suppressor approval shut down?

I was just about to pull the trigger on a Magnus S. Glad I didn’t I guess…

I ordered one at the beginning of February and it wasn’t until last week that it was in stock for paperwork to get started. I have to imagine TBAC wait times get even worse after the new year. If you want one, might want to pull that trigger….

Which one did you get?

I have an ultra 7 and want another Thunderbeast, just not sure which direction to go.

I’m sure it’s going to be a total shit show for months when that happens. Wouldn’t be surprised if we go back to 1 year wait times.

Hopefully not though.
I bought my most recent early last month, and that is what the salesman also told me. Luckily for me, the retailer was paying the $200 fee as a promotional sale.

I purchased one a month ago and had the option to get all the paperwork completed but they wait to file it until after Jan. 1, saving the $200 tax stamp fee. The supressor is already shipped to my local FFL. They didn't mention anything about the bottleneck it might cause, I thought having everything already prepped and ready to submit, and having already had an account and a different supressor ordered I thought it would make for a faster approval so I opted to be patient on this one. Hope it wasn't a mistake...

magnus s. I don't have it in hand yet, so I can't offer any first person experience.

I have the Magnus rr and ultra 7, the rr definitely cuts recoil but is louder. Not terrible though.

Yes, ATF are non essential, so no approvals happening for who knows how long, I've had two in jail since 3rd week of Sept, my approvals usually take 10 days, 2 weeks max normally(nauty boy in early walks of life). But yeah, all form4 approvals are hanging in purgatory.

My question is why isn’t TBAC increasing production and considering offering a printed Ultra model. Seriously unsound business practices if they are not. They certainly are not advertising it if they are. I would be saturating the market with information stating we are increasing production so I could grab your $ now. We are expecting excess inventory and will have more than enough available. Then while we wait for the govt to catch up they are printing cans with pre-orders.

The pre orders alone will cover the cost of 2 printing machines.
Based on the typical margins of 50% from the discounts I’ve seen there is limited risk and increased upside for this “IF”
You build and deliver a good product.

I think they like their business as it is. Not everyone is interested in growing or pivoting to meet demand.

Im in the same boat. Purchased a Nomad TI XC and also registered a lower receiver to SBR. Then the gov shut down.
