Do you guys run midweight socks much? I have some lightweight socks and I need some heavyweights since a good majority of my hunting is under 35 degrees.. so I'm curious if midweight socks are necessary to bridge the gap, or if they are kind of redundant.

I use Farm to Feet Damascus or the Darn Tough Full Cushion merinos. I generally throw a sock liner on as well.

I've been wearing the darn tough 1403 sock at work lately with uninsulated leather work boots. Temps were mid 20s to mid 30s. Actively moving all day. Feet were comfortable. I don't think I'd want a heavier sick than that. Im not positive they really are but I'd call the 1403 a mid weight sock.

I have tried several brands in the last several years and heavy-weight Point 6 are my favorite. Their mid-weight trekking socks are great too. I don't use the light-weights that much anymore since the mid-weight are have a little more padding and seem to breathe just as well as the light-weights in my boots.
