They must have way overdone it on these pieces and the fabric. Big discounts and the are selling a blanket made of this stuff.

I wonder if some of it is because several pieces werent released to this fall after folks were done buying? Or if they kept adding pieces to use up inventory?

The older Ambient (sans full zip) are seeing some good discounts around.

The blanket thing is a little odd. Alpha/Evolve makes for great insulation on the move, but for a blanket (you're not moving if you're using a blanket) I'd much rather have Apex insulation or something similar- better bang for the weight.

It is comfortable against the skin though.

I think Barklow drank too of the alpha / evolve koolaid and they ended up with a little oversupply issue.

I can imagine the call with Sitka leadership:

Sitka people: Fine, John, make the blankets, but next time don’t order so much insulation.
Barklow: OK. Blankets, yes. Where are we on the potholders?
sitka people: no, no potholders made of alpha insulation
Barklow: I am telling You, they will sell like hot cakes.
sitka people: no
barklow: like hot cakes from hot pans. Get it.
sitka people: I am hanging up, John.

I know this is an old thread, but posting here in case anyone (like me) is searching for Arrowhead information ... Arrowhead Kred site is currently showing as down, but I did find this 'Sitka Arrowhead' site: https://www.arrowheadsitka.com/

No ownership or contact details, so I don't know the relationship to Sitka. But it looks like they have new stock, as there's now Ranger Green items.

I'm pretty sure Sitka is not involved with Arrowhead anymore; I know nothing about the above site???

Yep, seems odd - no address or contact details that I can see.

The logo is the Sitka logo, it's unlikely they could use the Sitka name without some kind of connection. Product range seems updated, and there is this:

"Focused on developing and manufacturing purpose-built technical products, Arrowhead Equipment is a natural extension of SITKA Gear. Founded upon SITKA Gear’s DNA and considered approach to design, the program leverages the materials science expertise of Gore to provide purpose-built solutions for the Global Special Operations Forces end-user."

The site shows as being registered just in July last year. There's No mention of Arrowhead on the Sitka Gear site, so maybe WL Gore have just re-booted the brand with a focus on military and LEO markets (as the product classifications on the Sitka Arrowhead site suggest)?

Site looks legitimate from what I can see, but who knows?

I filled out the contact form on the arrowhead Sitka site, got a response a few days later. It’s the same as the arrowhead kred site, they just changed names to get more traffic. I placed an order - it is good to go.

Anyone know if the fit on these is the same as Sitka? Very few Sitka pieces fit me well. Either too short or too baggy. I would really like an ambient, but hesitant to order because of fit.

Thanks, kinda what I figured. I'm a medium in Stone Glacier and a few Sitka pieces but most Sitka mediums are too short and most Sitka larges are too baggy on me. I'm 5'-10" and 160 lbs so fairly average I think! I'll keep shopping!
