McMillan Mountain Tracker & Mountain Tracker LR Stocks: Comb Height Issues?

I am debating between getting a McMillan Mountain Tracker stock or a PSE E-TAC. The McMillan looks like it would more than serve all my wants/needs at half the price of the PSE, but I saw a video where a guy reviewing it said the comb height was too tall for medium rings and he used 1.5” rings on a 50MM bell to get proper eye alignment. I would like to use 1” height rings if possible for my setup.

Can anyone comment if they have 1” or medium rings with a 50MM optic on a Mountain Tracker and if they have any eye alignment issues?

Video Referenced below, he talks about the ring height at 12:55 into the video:

Every post I have on here with my Tikka Mountain Tracker LR is with medium 30MM Tikka Rings if the photo is a Maven or a SWFA. I'm pretty sure I had the 34MM UM LOW rings on there too with a NF ATACR.

I wouldn't go any lower than whatever the UM Medium height value is if you're using a 30mm scope.

I'm done playing with mine if you want it.

Cool, thank you for the info!

I’m pretty new to Rokslide, how do I look up the pictures you’ve posted for your Mountain Tracker?

In hindsight and after checking a moment, think I could shoot that set up photo'd above just fine with UM Low Rings...

Dude with the video must be:

I had to go mediums due to the carbon barrel profile (preferred uses a heavy palma) in my 300 PRC. With lows, the 56mm objective was contacting the barrel.

My Tikka CTR has lows with my NF NXS and it’s not been an issue.

Depends on your body configuration and how you mount your rifle (jaw weld/orbital weld/etc)

You need to mock up some stuff and decide how you want to shoot your rifle before you order.

I am weird shaped and tend to need a very high comb even with low rings. It’s one of the things that keeps me from buying a rokstock or tracker, their combs are too low for me.
