Show your magnum 10-shot groups and win a free limbsaver pad!

Just curious, how exactly do your group sizes shrink down range? Its confusing to me when I try and imagine how a bullet which is being imparted with more and more variables every yard would end up in a tighter group down at 600 yards compared to 100 yards?

Is there a distance where you see that accuracy go the other direction eventually?

Nice shooting btw
Only 5 shots vs 30...

You should see some of my 1 shot groups. Puts all these to shame.

Or maybe you were asking about something akin to positive compensation? If so I'm not sure I'm ready to derail this thread and waste lots of time. Could be fun though.

Nice shooting!
Thank you Sir, but I’m really not a great paper shooter.
I still have my first gun when I started hunting at 11 years old 8 mm Mauser.
My grandfather brought it back from WWII gave to my father and he gave it to me.
I hunted with this gun until I was 17 we were poor as dirt lol. I killed several deer and bear with it, until I purchased a Win model 70 30-06 at 18 and I still have that gun also.
It is now as it was 50 years ago, I might just shoot a 10 shot group with it in the next couple weeks.

Just a factor of smaller sample size is all.

If you have a gun that will put 30 shots into a .7. It’ll shoot a TON of 5 shot .4’s, or even smaller.

It's when you drive a really big lifted truck or a loud fast boat. Or shoot a magnum...
Hahaha I’ve positively compensated a lot. Enough to know that if you shoot a .223 because recoil and quick drop, you have to just cull whitetail does for affirmation about how utterly destructive they are…. 🤣🤣

All jokes aside, I love both at this point lol
