I will be curious to see how quickly their Customer Service calls to take the formal orders.

Once folks start receiving these calls, update this group.

I think I have settled on HEC1-Sage with a Benchmark #5 contour. I have not decided If I want the Carbon shell over fiberglass considering it will be fully painted.

For me it will be 1) Carbon, 2) HLS Camo Dark Pine or Woodland as my action and barrel are burnt bronze 3) D-18 barrel contour

Nice! My gun is currently sporting a D18 factory barrel, but I am buying with a re-barrel in mind.

I am rebarreling as well, but I really like the D-18 profile, so I am replacing with that contour as well.

Functionally they're the same, CF will just be lighter.

I can't tell a difference in stiffness, I think the CF saves about 8 oz but I could be off there.

I'm going carbon fiber and building a lightweight 7 PRC because I'm a heathen. Might as well put some recoil into a stock that's designed to combat it

Same! Got a 20” taperless .810 barrel being made for it which should add just a bit of weight compared to other options.

That’s my favorite profile 20” and 810 at muzzle. Curious to hear your thoughts on the taperless when you get it. My barrel is not a taperless but I may end up with that profile for a rebarrel.

I like the fiberglass options personally. I have an A5 on a tikka sporter and really like the weight but would probably like a little more low profile stock if I’m being honest

Good to hear that as I couldn't find all that much info for the 810, plenty of info on the 750 though. It is a slightly modified taperless - I am having the shank shortened up a bit because they are always pretty long and look a little funny and it should shave a few ounces off as well.

No I just meant the profile of the A5, its kinda blocky.

I'm a big fan of the taperless, I had a PBB .750" chambered in 25 Creed that I just sold to a friend that shot dots with the first combo I tested in it. 19" from shoulder to muzzle, straight fluted.

Posted on LRH, someone brought up that the Mountain Tracker LR has this bumpout on the grip.

McMillan offers stocks without that, calling it a "Tall Grip" version.

My opinion is that the "Tall Grip" is the superior option, and being that there will only be one mold for Tikkas, I am sharing so that maybe we can all get on board and make the same request for the Tall Grip option and eliminate that bumpount

That was me, I have had a few with the finger stop and I don't like it. I'm hoping they will listen to us and make the mold as a tall grip. Hopefully they ask the 50 and take a poll. I called them and they told me to call back when the 50 was reached. I will call back soon. For those that have said it makes no difference it does for me, it pushes my pinky below the grip
