Bump isn't a big deal guys
While it's totally unnecessary, it's not going to make you shoot any different
And if it bothers someone that much, grind the nub off and paint over it.

This kind of sound reasoning is exactly what we super-consumers do not tolerate

In all seriousness, the nub is not keeping me from buying this stock ha. But very glad we can call it the "Nub"

This is a very popular chassis in the prs(nvm the color, took it off mpa website) , one the most comfortable grips, it's designed to influence shooter to have a more 90° squeeze. Same though process to the bump, keeps your index finder pointed out straight to the back side trigger guard. Rest the 90° press is up to the shooter.

The krg bravo has a similar deal with the grip and I see zero issues with it. I actually like the reference point right there. You can scoop the grip in a hurry after running the bolt and it lands your hand in the same ideal spot every time.

I have never shot a stock with this "Nub", but I was actually looking forward to trying it out. I think it's intended function makes perfect sense.

I seem to recall reading about large hand folks having a problem getting a full grip due to the reference point nub. I think they had trouble with their pinky finger hanging off the grip.

Large hand guys complain you cannot engauge the grip with all 4 fingers. The grip isn't designed to be. The index or firing trigger is meant to be straight out at all time parallel to the trigger. Only a 3 finger engagement. I carry around 25# prs rifles with the same 3 finger grip. If you need all 4 finger squeeze to carry your 10# hunting gun, well I don't know what to say.

Everyone complaining about the trigger bump, how many people have actually put 50-100+ rounds down a stock or chassis that has one? Or are you all just griping because you don't like the looks, or the theory of its function, or just ignorant to what it's really there for?

I have and I have no respect for the Nub

In other news, only 8 more Nubs left before this hits production!

Explain the downfalls of the trigger bump please........If you look at all the LR series stocks from McMillan, you'll see a few common themes. Negative combs with relatively high butt pad position to norm, and the trigger bump.
Want to get rid the bump? Order a standard Mtn Tracker in tikka inlet, they're already available. There are other downfalls with the standard mountain tracker. There is no one perfect rifle stock that'll check every purchasers' boxes. It's impossible when you have the nub haters🤣

I don't consider my hands large but I do hang my pinky finger off the bottom of most stocks to get a straight trigger pull. I hang it off the bottom of the grip and then close it slightly to keep it tight to the bottom of the grip. Again, I kind of look forward to trying the bump even know my pinky might still hang off.

Good lord you defend the trigger bump like you invented it.

I just recalled what I had read about why the tall grip was an option on other stock models. Based on what I read I assumed that they were using a three finger engagement and still not able to get a good pinky engagement. Maybe they weren't.

I'm a tall fella with large hands. I'm ok with the nub if the grip is tall enough for me to get a fully engaged grip.
Even if you have small hands I'm sure you can understand that if I'm paying $1,000 for a stock, I want a grip that I can fully engage with three fingers with my index finger straight.
