Probably because the weight difference on a minute DOC is inconsequential.

There's a bullet weight difference in bergers with a piece of media stuck in the meplat vs those who are clear.....but it's not enough to matter.....but like the wall thickness here it does potentially make a difference in bullet upset, which matters.

Yeah, I'm not exactly clear why I'm needing to make assumptions on the bullet construction from prior reading and then explain so much with the manufacturer here...

I was aware there is a hollow cavity based on other reading and it seemed fairly obvious with that knowledge that the weight difference would be negligible to thicken that tiny area a little.

Sounds like my .1gr guess was right in the ballpark.

Hey Sam thanks for sharing the data you have (been following you guys on Instagram for a while now) and the tumbling and fragmenting results look fantastic. Is there a range of impact velocity that you see the bullets most frequently tumble? Is that more common in the single feed vs mag feed? Thanks again!

Hey buddy, sorry this question go left behind. Hopefully some of the answers in other comments will help. Single Feed and magazine feed performance is basically identical until falure and the single feeds have allot lower minimum impact velocity before they reach falure. What we have found is if you are on the line of a bullets stability due to twist they can tumble or yaw after going past minimum expansion velocity. Bullets with higher stability can take longer to tumble after passing maximum effective velocities.

Bull Elk 485 ham shot no pictures, was told it was a mess
All trauma pictures are entry holes. Elk no exit found but exits can be small and hard to detect, Mule deer small exit. Pictures are in order.
