I sent what I had to @Legend to pass on after he took what he needed. I'm not sure where they went after that.

I kept 2 and sent them on to JohnB. However last I heard he was still waiting for them (super slow mail).

It's not a big deal if you shoot flat ranges and just carry the gun from safe to vehicle. It's a big deal when you're carrying it afield or strapping to to a pack, etc.

I agree, there are so many unmounted or unmarked barely used ones for sale for $1000-1050 I wouldn't mess with a new one.

Weird this year two sheep hunts, 2 backpack, Elk hunts and fun walk about through nasty crap chasing bears behind hounds…. That was just this year, I’ve never had 1 of my 6 spin more then .3 mil

I disagree here about how often it happens, but everyone is different. However, is a quick check that your scope is on zero not part of your shot sequence? I usually have lens caps on as well, so the first thing I do is flip those open, quick twist to check zero, range, dial (maybe) and shoot.

I am not the John Wick of deer catching, but I can't imagine my quick zero check costs more than 100 milliseconds...

Now someone please tell me how to fix the crazy stiff parallax without adding a cattail

It is pretty much immovable below 30° for me

If you rotate it from stop to stop 4 or 5 times the internal lube will more evenly distribute and be much easier to use.

But you have to do that every time you want to adjust it.

I check too- but the 15th or 20th time that I grabbed a rifle and the turret had spun .5 to 1.5 mils just riding in the backseat with gear was enough. If the I-ring solves the problem, all the better but I stopped seriously using the RS1.2 a year or so ago because of it.

Did you try the orings? I’m curious if it worked well. Considering the SHV and NX6 compared to this Maven.

O ring worked wonders on my 2 scopes. A little less audible/tactile but about perfect tightness or effect needed to dial... if that all makes sense

An alternative is a spot of electrical tape inside the turret to tighten it up.

My other scope has had this tape inside for about a year now. I've removed the turret a dozen or so times and the tape hasn't moved or peeled off.
