Where are you at in CO?
I wrote the homepage review here essentially comparing the RS1.2 to my many tried and true SHVs.
https://www.rokslide.com/maven-rs1-2-riflescope-review/
The reticle, 4-5oz difference, and the way the zero stop/set works are the stand out differences to me. Those things matter to some folks a lot, some don't care.
We still own all of the SHVs we had before the RS1.2 arrived, and we have a few RS1.2s as well. Other things worth consideration that may or may not matter to you and are subjective...
-Reputation of brand
-Availability of repair/warranty
-"Proven" ability of the specific models
-In the case of
@KickinNDishin (my wife), availability of same model or same reticle models to put on "trainer" rifles.
-Customizable colors
