Made a poor choice at the bow shop

Sitting here scratching my head wondering why you need it set to 76lbs?
I’m strong and have good shoulders. As long as that stays the same I’ll pull the heaviest poundage I can. I enjoy my 500 grain arrow moving over 300fps, pass throughs, and sinking my arrow to the fletching in just about every target I shoot.

Might seem over kill, but anything worth doing…..is worth over doing.

The big magnum deer shooters appreciate you ;)

So what was the poor choice. Just looking was the first mistake. Then handling and touching? Going through with the deed? Be glad it was just a bow.

Buddy got the lift last year, the liftx this year and I'm just over here with an old prime impact hitting the same 8-10s at 70 yards but now I have the new bows itch too. It's a problem

I don’t think you went wrong with the lift x, Mathew’s haven’t been my cup of tea for awhile but I’m impressed by it

i bought a lift 29.5 last thursday (my first new bow in 13yrs!), my wife called me as i was walking out of the shop and asked if the credit card charge was real. i was a little afraid to go home lol. 5'-2'' and i was terrified lol

Nice bow from what ive heard. Did you try any of the PSE Carbon's?
I did try the pse. Shot the Hoyts, PSE, Expedition, Bow Tech and Darton. My top 2 were the Hoyt RX-9 Ultra and the Lift X 33. I really liked the speed and how light in hand the Hoyt was, but the draw cycle and overall shot feel got me with the Mathews.

This sentiment gets bandied around in the trad world too when you say you're looking to buy limbs heavier than 40#.

"Everything in North America has been killed with 40#, why do you need more?"

Because I don't live in North America and I want more than 40#.
