I don't care if I've been missing for a week. Nobody is getting access to my Onx waypoints. They can have my money, house, truck, etc but I'm taking my Onx waypoints to my grave.

You can set up Inreach to post your location at set intervals to via a private web page you can grant access to. I set it up so my wife and kids can go online at any time and see where I am at, if I am moving etc. This way they won't have to wait a long period of time to get their inheritance.

yes, but annoying when search and rescue show up with all those ropes and pulleys to lift your body from the mine shaft when all they needed where a few empty packs to help haul the trophy bull out…

Glad it worked out. The old advice is the best - go prepared, don’t push things, let someone know where you are. Any new gizmo can’t take the place of those.

4 hours of driving roads on a 4x29 mile ranch is hard to find someone, a entire hunting unit impossible.

I have one and have had one for quite some time. I think 2017 or 2018. I had a spot first.

I know my wife appreciates that I can let her know I woke up and made it back.

Sometimes I get to hear about how the kids are not behaving which is a bummer, but I guess it's the tradeoff.

Mine has worked very well for several years now. My other buddies also have them and we can communicate inreach to inreach when out of two-way radio range.
