From what I can tell the 16” does not but the larger sizes do need power…
I didn’t see a power chord in the pic, but the description still talks about specific temp control (which is the feature that requires electricity on other models)

I got mine put it together and started the grill seasoning process. When it is running the right and back side have a good flame. The left side flame is quite small you can see the pattern on surface after putting oil on it. Anyone else??

That’s how it’s designed, the smaller flame stays on at all times. Unfortunately mine is throwing error codes right out of the box; I think that the flame sensor is faulty…
