Italian made Cabelas instinct insulated boots with 600g primaloft and good vibram soles are on sale for $229. Add 10% off for Club Member Mondays (if you have the credit card) and Bass pro Active junky is 10.2%. Or use 15% off gift certificates from Couponcookie.com (probably doesn't stack with Active Junky) . Either way you get a great fall-winter boot for well under $200.

I tried them on in store and the "wide" is actually capacious enough for my hobbit feet. My pair came out to $183ish after all discounts and 2% member rewards.

Hopefully they work for you! Bad thing about cabelas they put on a warranty. Then discontinue the product theirfore ending your warranty. I learned this the hard way on their meindl perfect 10 boots. After the sole fell off. Sorry discontinued product no warranty!

I'm confident I'll get $185 of use or more out of them for 1-2 hunts a year plus some cold weather dog walking.

The boots have a one year warranty against defects per Cabelas policy, so I expect I can return them if they blow up, but I doubt that they will because they are probably made by a big name manufacturer based on the solid construction. Not sure if they're discontinued, or just on end of winter clearance.

Has anybody tried these?
I wore them in the store for a good 20 minutes. Flex is perhaps 2.5-3/5 on the Crispi or Schnees scale. Less stiff than my Schnees Granite and Crispi Briksdal by a smidge. Weight felt impressively light given the height and volume of the boots. I'll pick mine up next week and go for a hike. I imagine they'll have these boots on clearance for quite a while.

I will be trying them out in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for the heads up!!
I needed a replacement for my moosin boots that died of old age 😢

Now $114 on clearance, 10% back with active junky, and 10% off with member mondays. $93 otd with all discounts.

Scored a pair today, worth a shot for $100! I think you guys also left out there are some sick deals on hunting clothing, Sitka included.

Any idea who makes them?

An Italian bootmaker based on the tag. No other clues I can discern, but for $100ish I'm not asking to shake the bootmaker's hand.
