I have the 3L Jetboil Helios Cook Pot. My entire JB Zip kit will fit inside (laid on it's side) w/ a small stack of paper plates & sporks and a couple wads of paper towels for clean up. Works good. And I still have the Zip stove & cup for making coffee.
If I were cook'n for a large 10 man group, I'd probably figure on two sets just to speed up the process. That way you could cook bacon & eggs at the same time in separate pans.

I can't help but think a non-stick cookie sheet that has handles would work. Drill some holes in the handles and install some small/long bolts to give it legs and height adjustment and you have a large , light cook surface like a girdle. Put 2-3 small stoves under it and your set.

good ideas here. I'm in the same boat with planning a hunt with my 69 yr old father.

I'm searching for a foldable grate to put over a fire for helping with cooking. as a thought anyways. I know rocks and such work but if i can find a grate thats not 10 lbs, and fits in a pack, it would give lots of cooking room. and act as a table if needed

Take a look at these http://www.purcelltrench.com/grills.htm
