Amsteel rope is expensive but really really good stuff. It can be used for multiple things. I use it for hanging ridge lines for tarps or hammocks while camping and keep in my pack for hanging game plus a 100 other uses.

I use I think it's 1.2mm blind cord. I cut it out of blinds when I'm doing renovations.

Sterling makes some pretty good accessory cord, I am lucky since the local sports store stocks pretty much all of the options they have. It is nice to be able to fondle it when deciding.....
