Well unfortunately that makes more sense than a well thought out rifle being produced and in stock for a reasonable price.
Has anyone rebarreled a Kimber? Thinking about that as an UL option, but not too interested in any of their factory barreled offerings.

Ya, lots of people have done that. If you're going to re-stock it as well, get the hunter as the actions for the hunter and montana are the same.

Friends don't let friends buy Savages. Just kidding. I don't mind the rifles in their stock form, but having done exactly one custom Savage build, I learned my lesson.
