kuiu attack pants, light, uber comfy, breath well and dry quick.
I like everything about the Attack pants, BUT the front pockets. I wear a clip knife in my front pocket every day. It just does not work with the Attack pants. I lost a knife twice trying to force it. Once for good and the other time a buddy behind me found my knife clipped to the branch that picked my pocket! : )
My favorite cargo style outdoor pants are made by Vertx. I use them for day trips and fishing, but they are not synthetic enough to wear hunting or on overnight trips. (35% Cotton)
The Phantom LT pants are a nice pant. I wore them in a 3 day combat handgun course in WA State in some pretty darn hot weather. Held up well and breathed pretty decent. I've begged them a few times to make a fully synthetic DWR coated pant.
I'd going to try a pair of the Phantom OPS lightweight pants the next time I make an order. If you search around you can find 20-40% coupon codes now and then, just takes a bit of digging.
I replaced all of my "Dockers" with the original Vertx pant earlier this year when I found a 40% off code. The pockets are perfect, in fact designed to carry a clip knife and the cargo pockets have a small inner pocket that helps organize the crap I throw in there. Wallet, keys, phone, you name it.
And for you Kryptek fans, they rock the various Kryptek patterns for an upcharge.
Check em out.

I'd consider it a favor if you also requested some fully synthetic pants from them. : ) I sent an email to KUIU requesting they change up the front pockets to mimic these pants, but I am sure design changes come from folks other than me. : ) I did pick up a pair of the Kanab pants to try out, but they are certainly not in the flyweight lightweight, more like the medium lightweight category. They seem like pretty decent pants as well.
For cheap, quick drying though its hard to beat the Columbia's Luke mentions. I'm not sure of the exact model name, but if you search places like Sierra Trading Post or REI Outlet there is usually a synthetic hiking pant of some sort at a pretty good price. I've not noticed to much of a difference between the few I have used over the years. They are not the most durable pants, but cheap and simple.
