Long shot here. Looking for a Sako VL63 Finnwolf. If anyone here knows a shop with one sitting on the shelf I’d appreciate a tip off. Its a rifle similar to a Winchester 88 (mag fed lever action). Online auction sites want ridiculous money for one, so I’m hoping to luck into one on consignment or something.
Thanks for any help

Gunbroker - always your best bet for securing hard-to-find guns:

Every time I go into a gun shop that rifle is on my list…when they ask what I’m looking for it’s; Savage 99s, Winchester 88 or 100s and that Sako. I’ve never seen the Sako in person and GB has them at a premium.

I find plenty of 99s and even a few 100s. Seen a few 88s that I wish I bought

I run into quite a few 99’s and some a little underpriced. I have a cherry .300 Sav and a beater .303 Sav but for some reason am always looking for them…

I will keep my eye out, as I travel for work stopping at random gun shops in the evenings and breaks along the road. I was lucky enough to find a 243 and 308 from the same seller off Armslist a few years back, you have to pay for the monthly fee now on Armslist but it is another avenue for private sellers.
Keep in mind as you look the grip area of the stock is known to crack and magazines are almost impossible to find and can be $350-500 when you do find one. Good luck as the thrill of the hunt is half the fun.
