Rugers always been one to toss out random calibers and whatnot. Wouldnt surprise me to see a 444 or anything else get turned out one of these days.

Before you posted this, I immediately started crunching numbers! I estimate his impact velocity was around 1175fps and 685ft/lbs of energy.

However got rid of it, got bored of it quickly. But now kind of regret it.

Needs wood furniture though for whatever I get in the future.

First shot was right at shoulder crease hit rib on the way in exited about 3” behind crease. Turned 90 degrees at impact was hit again right in front of hip angled towards shoulder. Front legs got wobbly turned back original direction and nose dived. Around 15 yards traveled I’d say less then 10 seconds from first shot tell down.

Is that using pistol velocity data or rifle? Because my dad’s CVA scout with a 20” barrel is throwing those Leverevolution rounds at 1800+ FPS.

I guesstimated 1700fps MV.
At 1800, depending on elevation, the bullet would be in the ball park of 800ft/lbs on target.

With a .14 bc those bullets will slow down fast. That impact is about 1800 at muzzle. Using a high drag bullet like this is what opened my eyes up to what happens to velocity even at short ranges. I noticed velocity dropping really fast on my labradar. Then did the math and realized it was correct.
