I’m waiting for one of these to fall into my lap.
I used a Browning lever action chambered in 7mm-08 for quite a few years. I loved that gun and used it to get my best buck to date. I have since sold that gun and have switched to a light bolt action in a different caliber choosing practicality over emotion. However, I still own, use and enjoy the Browning lever gun .22 rifle that I saved up for and bought new 30 years ago as a young lad. That rifle has killed many a prairie dog, rabbit, grouse and has had countless bricks of .22 ammo sent through the barrel!I love all the custom lightweight rifle set ups that are found here on Rokslide. I like to hunt with lever actions. Any other lever action hunters out and about?

Why? You got to bow range, you killed it.Central BC bear 45-70 350gr swift a-frame. 30 yards spot and stalk. I really wish I would have had my bow View attachment 807993
I thought the chipmunk cheek Big Bore was one neat looking rifle when it was introduced. In 1978 I bought a Winchester Big Bore 94 XTR in 375 Win. Still have it. Still love it.
I rarely take it out lately. Seeing this thread, I might need to go out and kill one more deer this year.
That is true, but I really wanted to take my bow on this hunt but my guide which is now a good friend of mine talked me out of it. We all had a good laugh when I showed up with the flat shooting 45-70 instead. Big plus was my wife’s 308 and the 45-70 fit in one hard case instead of lugging a bow around. Why? You got to bow range, you killed it.
Other than a longer track, what would you have achieved with a bow that you didn't with the rifle?
