What velocity are you getting on the 6 creed?

So far my dope has them going 2850 but I haven’t shot them over a chrono yet. Only have about 20 rounds through it. Hoping to finish out around 2900-2950, or 2850 if I cut the barrel to 18-19”.

Not sure if it's just the angle of the picture but looks like the recoil lug isn't seated all the way since the bottom of barrel isn't parallel with the forend. I know I've done this several times with my bravo. Not sure if it's a thing with the echo.

Nice looking setup! How do you like the echo?
I removed some material off the forend. Theres a little more flex then id like in the stock and the magnum taper could touch depending on how Id load into the rifle. Overall the guns shooting great in the echo and for that $300 price point its hard to beat

Just got the Peak 44 Blacktooth, 19.4 oz on my scale... Though dry fitting there is a 1/8 in gap on either side of the barrel in the taper area. I ordered the T3X Lite contour and measured the stock inlet dimensions compared to their specs and it lined up with what they had sent me. Just seems a little big.

Just means the stock is lighter and easier to fish crap out of the barrel channel if it gets in there

Higher score on the Rokslide Dead Cat Clearance index, that’s a feature not a glitch!

Cant say I'm familiar with the terms or that just flew over my head. Is there a trend with more clearance on RS now?

I don’t know if it qualifies as a consensus, but there is a large a proportion of the membership that would prefer more clearance than less. It helps prevent stock contact in less than ideal positions and also makes it easier to check for debris and clean out the debris. I think Form coined the phrase when he was talking about opening up a forend and suggested opening it up enough to make room for at least one dead cat.

Edit: found it

All ready to go she weighs 7.6 lbs. Seems to shoot decent. I ended up bedding the whole front end of the action and not just the recoil lug that is shown in the Peak 44 video. Chambered in 6.5 SAUM shooting 143 eldx at 3100.

Pros:
- I REALLY like the negative comb on the Blacktooth
- Feels great in the hand and to carry
- The palm swell people complain about being too big is actually better than factory IMO. I feel it keeps your hand in a great position to NOT influence trigger pull. Not an issue unless you have very very tiny hands (like 12 year boy small)

Cons
- 3D printed buttpad is a little hard. I feel like it doesn't compress to its potential to mitigate the impulse. Definitely feel it in the shoulder. Temp was also 8 F so could have played a factor.
- Some cosmetic stuff. Where the bolt handle rests in the stock wasn't fully painted when I received it. Some chipping on the interior of the stock probably from when releasing from the mold.

I think most people changing stocks are coming from the Tikka factory with the limbsaver, so weight savings is probably around 10 oz. Next steps I'm looking at doing UM lightening cuts and fluting the bolt. Also potential to swap the SHV to a NXS and save a couple oz. All that being said, even suppressed the 6.5 SAUM is about my limit for "comfortable" recoil at this weight.

That’s weight with the can? What’s the specs on the rifle?
