Put 100rds through the Preferred barrel this morning, no break in just 10x 10 shot groups as fast as I as felt comfortable with the barrel heat.

Very happy with how it’s shooting with a load I just threw together in some old Hornady brass.

Went from 2730fps to 2760fps. I think I can expect a little more speed up over the next 100rds.

I had similar results with my Preferred Barrel 6.5, they are GTG in my book. Good shootin!

That looks simple and great. Do you know the overall length of that stock? I prefer shorter when paired with a 20” barrel

Originally a Tikka T3 300wsm. Installed a PB prefit 19" 6mm CM 7 twist barrel. SWFA 3-9, Sportsmatch rings. First 10 shots in the rain, 103 grain Vaportrail, 44 grains of Superformance. There are 8 holes in that target. YHM supressor, Limbsaver grind to fit recoil pad, bolt from my 6.5 CTR. Pillar bedded with some JB weld.

Barreled action is being cerakoted sniper gray, bolt to LRI when everything comes back from cerakote, and then figure out what to re-barrel with down the road.

I'm sure there are many like it, but finished mocking mine up. I'll get it to a smith to torque barrel to action and check headspacing before heading to the range. I like how it turned out.
7mm mag, cerakoted action, 22" proof (8.4" twist), AICS bottom metal sitting in a Mesa Precision Altitude. Next up is the can for it.

New to me Tikka coming in hot , Veil Wideland, I was told a Special Cabelas colors . Never seen this color but I could be wrong as Ive never researched the Veils. Smokin deal had to score it. Might leave it stock…..or not.

Beauty. This pushes a lot of buttons for me. What is the velocity you are getting with the 18” barrel? Tikka has the UPR in 6.5 PRC that has enough width in the contour to cut it back to 18-20”

I am fortunate to reload. I am pushing 147 eldm with h4831 at 2920 with just under max book charge. I do have about 700 rounds down the tube.

I reload as well and have a Magnetospeed. That’s smoking for an 18” barrel. I found a node with my Bergara HMR 6.5 PRC that was 2940 FPS with the 147 ELD-M. Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking rig! How's the KS Arms barrel been for you? I'm getting one installed on a Tikka as well in the 7mm WSM's cousin the 6.8 Western.

How is that IOTA stock? Was on my list, but ended up with a Mesa Precision. May keep that in mind for future projects.

Nice looking rig! How's the KS Arms barrel been for you? I'm getting one installed on a Tikka as well in the 7mm WSM's cousin the 6.8 Western.

I like it, it shoots great so far. I haven’t had a chance to really work up a load for it but this was 3 shots with 145gr LRX which is better than I do most days
