I think he's asking about an xbolt still, not a tikka.Correct. If you're buying a new gun I would say buy a 7mm Rem Mag or 300 win mag. That'll get you the magnum bolt face and long action bolt stop. Then buy the Mountain Tactical magazine.
So from what I’m getting here is 30.06 factory mag would work with factory 7prc and the receiver will work. So all I’d need to buy is a magnum bolt and a barrel correct?
Who's going to throw down pictures of a semi-custom Sako s20? It's basically a Tikka.
From Benchmark Barrels. http://www.benchmark-barrels.com/Benchmark_Barrels_Home.htmlWho did you buy the stock from?
Do you know what the barreled action and stock together weigh? That is a nice looking setup.Tikka CTR 6.5 CM 20” stainless
Mountain Tactical 20 MOA rail
Mountain Tactical trigger spring
KRG Bravo CTR Mag compatible Sako Green
KRG Minimalist Spigot to get my bipod further out towards muzzle
Spooky accurate

I recently reached out to Allterra. They stated they would start making their carbon stocks inleted for Tikkas again. Who knows when this will happen.I’m very interested in the Stocky’s nextgen carbon VG stocks. I have an Alterra carbon stock that I love, but they are unavailable now and I’m building another tikka and am considering the Stockys VG or waiting to see when Alterra will offer the stocks again or finding a used one.
Any info on the Stockys would be very welcome.
I really like the negative comb and the heel above the bore line on the Alterra, also the asymmetric wrist and palm swell is very natural. How does the geometry on the Stockys compare? Anyone have experience with both.
Anyone have an Alterra for sale?

I just got a 20” Carbon six. With an Omega can on it, it’s a little shorter than the factory Roughtech configuration with the factory brake. That said, I think you could go 18” and be good.I’m reworking a 300 WSM and planning on having a Bartein barrel made for it. I have a Dead Air Armament 7.62 Sandman S (6.8”) that I plan of using. How short can I have the barrel cut?

I didn’t buy the suppressor for this rifle, that just happens to be what I have. I listed the specifics so if anyone has any experience with it or I suppose an opinion that could possibly benefit or persuade, I’m interested as it was intended to be used on an entirely different set up.So I agree BUT.
I called silencerco last week before I ordered my 20” C6 for a 7wsm to confirm they were holding tight to their 20” restriction on magnum calibers…..they wouldn’t budge and said would void any warranty going shorter.
So I went 20. Made me sad but I guess I get an extra 50fps and a bit less muzzle blast. Additionally in a wsm 18-20” is getting real close to 100% burn (according to QL) with most powders. I didn’t see any loads at 20 that weren’t fully burned.
EDIT: 2x BUT he’s using a dead air….disregard.
Damn that’s a sweet setup. How are you liking that Privateer stock so far and who did you order through if you don’t mind me asking? Looking for an option other than OMR . . .Stainless action
