Nice, I thought they required a barrel nut. Maybe I'll try one someday?
They did, not anymore. I’ll likely buy another. Honestly I expect more than the above group for my match gun, hopefully as it breaks in it turns on.

He offers a lot of options as well, just no super light contours

My latest build…

300 WSM
B&C stock that I hand painted
Proof pre fit
Apa break
Had the bolt milled and DLC coated
Timney 2 stage trigger
Leupold rings
Trijicon credo HX 2.5-15x42
Swagger bipod
Think it all came together nicely

What’s the general consensus on the 7mm PRC in a tikka. Is it still too long?
Based on what I have seen it depends on the bullet. Some will be longer than the 3.34 max.... but it will still be very good. Much better than a 7 rem mag would be in that short of configuration. You might lose a little performance with some bullets but not much. I will likely build one on a tikka sometime in the future.

I know there are some options to use acis mags and have the action slotted. Can anyone share some details on this procedure?

My 6.5 PRC Roughtech stayed factory for 18 rounds, then came the 20" CarbonSix barrel and the HNT26. Still have a lot of factory 147s, 500 147s, 400 143 Bondstrikes, and plenty of N565, and H4831sc to try. I have a little H1000 and Rl26, but not enough to mess with. I could save a lb with a lighter scope, but the Minox is worth the penalty.

The second rifle is my 18" 6.5 Creed with a CarbonSix and a GGS Ranger.125.JPG090.JPG088.JPG126.JPG

I haven't shot the PRC yet, but the creed did pretty good with some 140 ELDM that I loaded for a Bartlein that I have. I am sure it will shoot better with some load development.

I did the Tikka vertical grip and fore end mods. I like the flat, beaver-tail style fore end. It’s steadier off the bench or a box blind window but still comfortable to hold off hand.

Did quite a bit of research on stock compatibility, and to my surprise it was not totally plug and play. had to file ~.030" off each side of the aluminum magwell inlet to get the t1x mag well to fit through, had to file a little .5" nub to get full clearance on the t1x bolt release, and sand down the barrel channel a bit. Also filed in an arca plate on the front so it sits flush.

T1x, 16” barrel with a banish 22 silencer. Vertical grip, mountain tactical bottom metal, I replaced the but plate with the recoil pad off a t3x so the LOP is more appropriate. Titanium firing pin, talley lightweights with a tract 3-9 rimfire scope. I want to change the scope and rings out to something else at some point.
