Black powder rifles only count if you give us some details on them. In particular the flintlock. It has the look of a Rupp or Lehigh pattern.

The caplock is a hybrid Hawken/Tennessee pattern of my own invention! I had it built locally by a guy named John D Anderson It's a 42" Colerain barrel with roundottom rifling .54 with a 1:60 twist, Davis lock & triggers. I really like the handling & stock pattern of Hawken & pains rifles, but I wanted the length & balance of a long gun.

The flinter is loosely based on a first pattern (1740's) French Fusil de Chasse. It's all period correct except it has a rear sight, wedges instead of pins & a rifled barrel (it should be a front site only, 20ga., pinned smoothbore) The barrel is another 42" Colerain tapered octagon to round in .62 I believe it's a large Manton lock with L&R trigger. All French grey, iron furniture. Built for me by one of my best friend, Shane Thomas, in Jacksonville FL.
The stock, by the way, was a complete accident. I ordered a billet of plain cherry, as these were originally working, non fancy guns.
The timber company, however, screwed up TOTALLY and accidentally sent me a billet of XXX exhibition grade maple. Not that I'm complaining.....

I'm a lefty, so many times my options are more limited than most of you. I picked this one up about twenty years ago, and it has been with me every fall, every year since. I did some upgrades to it, and it is a very accurate rifle...375H&H Browning Stainless Stalker I, Dan Lilja barrel, McMillan Stock. The scope was an anniversary gift from my wife!

45-70 elk hunting in Wyoming and my son in Alaska for his last day bear. Hunted with the longbow all week and wanted a bear to take home more than a longbow bear!

Wish I did ! Some wonderful guns. I can only contribute my 358 win BLR. She shoots hornady factory about a half in.

Can’t wait to hand load some partions. John Barsness was able to push 225 grainers over 2550 using Tac in a 20” barrel.

I actually have 2 of these, I got such good deals I couldn’t pass them up, both were made around 2010 and had just been sitting in people’s safes since with only a couple rounds fired through each. They aren’t much to look at but they shoot really well even though they are both under 8lbs scoped. The titanium nitride finish over the stainless barrell and actions is awesome too.
