I am about 7 weeks away from making the trek from PA to CO to do my first ever elk hunt, for which we'll be using a wall tent. I'd love to see photos of everyone's base camp set-ups to see if there are any last minute ideas my group can take from your experience! Any component of your camp is welcome (sleeping area, cook station, commode, etc.). Bonus points if it's a winter camp with a little bit of snow! Good luck to everyone already in the woods!

Haha yep. I was blown away by the amount of information everyone shared in that one. This thread is more for fun, and to give me something to dream about over the next 7 weeks.

Nothing special, guess I never really thought to take some camp pics. I'll try to get some this year. Last year's camp pics would have been epic, looked through my photos and not a single pic of camp. :/

Shade out front really helps keep the tent cooler and blocks the rain or snow.
Chainsaw to cut down any hazard trees near the tent, we cut a few it seems almost every camp site.
Some added side walls to give you more privacy helps, and adds warmth. We use canvas drop cloths.
