Leofoto 282cmx?

I'm looking into cutting down a long legged version. I wish leofoto would offer a 3 section inverted similar to two vets/ fatboy.
That's a possibility. I considered it, but the weight and extra length wasn't big of that concern in the end.

How was the experiences with the 362 cmx? It's on my list to check out but I'm worried about standing height shooting at nrl events. I am 6' and it won't get up as tall as I would normally use.
I'm 5'10 and it works well for me, I'm usually more concerned with the kneeling height glassing and shooting quickly than standing but it would be short for someone 6 foot or better to use standing for a long period of time like spotting, for a standing shot in NRL i think you'd be fine with it just need to lean forward a little. i added an adjustable center section to mine for days I'm glassing a lot or ROing and that helps a ton. i take it off to shoot events.

I just got an SO-282 and moved a RRS anvil over to it. It seems pretty solid for what I have played with it in the house.

Any updates, looking at this for a spotter and this is the only thread I’ve found with any info on this 282.
I like it for hunting purposes. I attached a wiser nighthawk on a mini Arca to the anvil to be glassing off a pan head. Works great for spotter or binos when sitting.
For sitting/kneeling it does well. I’m 5’9” and I have to get pretty low to shoot off of it standing. It is the SO-282 but it does pack decent. Not any more weird than a rifle on a pack.
For hunting I thought it is a nice balance of weight, stability, and bulk.
For NRL, I am likely going to use a 2Vets QDT because it is just that much more stable.
Let me know if you have any more specific questions on it.

You must have the compact version.

There are two versions of that one. I have the cx. It is really tall. I’m 6’5 and shoot standing easily. You must have the cmx which is the compact version.
You are correct. So282CMX is what I have. I misunderstood the product number or forgot. I thought the SO denoted short but it is the M in the CMX. For carrying around hunting, it works well. It’s lighter than my leupold 425 with anvil and more stable. On paper it’s lighter than the equivalent RRS.
