I have decided on the EL TA’s to try again.
I completely understand the difference in handheld stability and the field of view being smaller.

But I’m lookin for info from those who have used both. I really want to get the 12’s for here in Montana. I know the 12’s are gonna be a little less stable in the hand, But I’m wondering how much compared to 10’s?

Most of my hunting is in wide open country so the 12s are very appealing. But I’m also worried about when I’m just glassing here and there out of the Bino harness if the field of view is noticeably smaller to where it would be or feel annoying to look through vs 10’s? But my biggest concern is if and how much low light ability or time I will lose at dusk and dawn going with the 12’a or if it’s even noticeable over the 10’s? This will be strictly for rifle hunting and most glassing sessions or places I hunt or glass would be 300 yards and farther. I use a completely different pair for Archery hunting.

I have both the 10x and 12x ELs. I purchased the 10s first and thought they were the best glass I could possibly find, until I picked up the 12s. My 10x rarely leave the house now. I find the 12x to be that much better. I hunt and guide primarily open country in WY and carry the 12s in a chest harness. I periodically use them on a tripod, but handhold them the majority of the time. Zero issues w/stability, fov or low light conditions. I can’t give you any objective comparison data, but I would pick the 12x over the 10x almost every single time. The only exception would be if I’m hunting primarily heavy timber

That’s exactly what I needed to hear. Very much appreciate that info.
