I used mine all of archery, and now the first week of rifle season.

I like it for archery, same as all the other Leica's I have owned.

I really like the ballistic solver, it is easy to switch between firearms. I like that the viewfinder is not cluttered.

It is not as bright as my other 2 RF's, but it has not been very noticeable in hunting conditions. It is more noticeable in bright sunshine. It is completely useable for hunting.

I also have the revic and my old Leica 2000. Still not a lot of time on the CRF Pro, but I am probably going to sell the revic.
Which revic do you have the BR4? I’m torn between the br4 and the leica right now so curious to hear your opinion on them. Also have you had a chance to compare the two in fog?

Alright, so, upon further use, this thing sucks sometimes. Total failure in a late season elk hunt today.

I can’t understand how the LED display seems to go faint sometimes, and is bold as hell other times. It’s always set to 5 on brightness. Functionally, the display was unusable for me today while actively trying to range elk in the snow. RF wouldn’t range and even if it could, I could barely make out the display.

I’ve realized the amount of times I have to re-range with this unit to get a reading seems extreme. What’s odd is while in SE AK this year, with all the moisture, cold, fog, etc this unit really rocked.

Going to try a new battery tomorrow to see if that helps.

Sorry to hear this. I’ve pretty much given up on Revic since they have had my BR4 for 3 months of evaluation and I was looking for an alternative.

I really, really wanted to choose the CRF Pro over the Sig Kilo8k. I have an ancient LRF1200 that still does it's primary job of ranging. And it uses a 9V battery too.

Seems like just so many inconsistent problems with the Leica CRF PRO. If you are using alpha glass (NL Pure) how bad is the transition to the Kilo8k? I don't need it for observation, just for range and ballistics.

I know the 8K is more expensive, though it does come with a wind meter and full Applied Ballistics.

Anyone here chose the CRF PRO over the Kilo8K after actually using both?
