Hey everyone! Die hard backcountry hunter here. Also NASM certified personal trainer/Boston Qualifying marathoner. I am trying to put myself out there with some content simply just trying to help more guys out with their own fitness journeys. Here is a video I put together for my youtube channel that I wanted to share here.

Obviously there is more than one way to train for hunting. This hypertrophy style weight training I have found has helped me a ton (along with heavy backpack training, running, etc). Let me know what you all think! And please feel free the shoot me a message if you all have any questions , would be happy to help!

Almost exactly what I did at home today haha except I skipped the deadlifts as I hate them.
I do the weighted lunges with my rucking setup. Seems to really help my balance as well!

Pretty good. One of the biggest things I switched to this year was dynamic stretching over static. Has made a big difference for me. I’ve also learned that what works for one person may not work for me. If doing a lift causes me long term tightness and mobility loss I just don’t do it anymore. I have a pretty physical job and instead of squatting I do a ton of ab work, swimming, light dead lifts, box jumps, ands kb swings, all focusing on maintaining as much mobility as possible.

Thats alll great stuff man. Love to hear it. And absolutely, i am a big believer in what works for you , as long as you can stick to it. All that cross training is great. And guys sleep on that mobility work but it can make a world of difference , especially as you get older (i dedicate one day a week to really focus on mobility always)

Good work man. As a gym rat I love it and approve this message haha.
Haha appreciate it man! Its not easy putting out fitness content without being bashed. But taking the cert course, seeing improvements myself, and helping some other guys around me improve performance.. finally made me feel like "okay I may be on to something so I'll put this out to help others and see what happens"
