Is that product working well for you with no actual "patch" ?

Or take the Eazy-E approach. Throw it in the gutter and go by another!

I’ve tried, and I have never found a good long-term solution for a thermarest leak. Let us know how the patch holds up.

That works fine. No issues with keeping air in after.
The pad I sleep on at home has 3-4 patches like that and keeps air. Probably have 400 or more nights on it-thermarest trail scout. Sometimes I put uncle lou's stealth straps over and put seal seal around the edge but just seam seal wp works by itself. Just let it cure for 24 hrs.
I do put the seam seal on while it is aired up and you can see it bubble a bit. I think in between bubbles it draws the sealant in. After an hour or so I open the deflate valve.

I've had a bicycle innertube patch on my Xtherm since 2016. I've used that pad more than any other, probably a couple dozen nights a year.

i sent my leaking thermarest back to thermarest and they sent me a brand new pad. i bet they put it up for an ad some where- it had a metal valve.

i think they used to advertise they would fix a leak.

Actually the self inflating t-rests (what I use) have insulating foam inside.
You have something with a R-6 or better that cannot leak?

Patched my Prolite apex in two places with the same "glue "as Zap ,but I also put a patch of coated nylon on top of the glue. Holds air and works great. Pad was new last year and leaked on a 9 day sheep hunt. I topped it up every nite and went to sleep, was never cold and surprising comfortable even in the mornings when it was 1/2 inflated only. This year it was amazing with no leaks.
