Lapua .223 brass

Just when I was thinking the starline was great brass I saw the posts about the case separation. Nearly all of mine have the ring around them but we’re holding up fine until today. This case was on its first firing, I sectioned some of my other ones to see what they looked like inside and all the ones I did were fine so I guess from here on out it’s a gamble on whether or not they hold together. I have a mixture of 5.56 and 223 all were purchased from late 2023 until late 2024

Should be able to feel that separation with a bent paperclip without having to section the case. Easier to visually see with the case cut though.

Tried that and it did feel like a slight grab but it was really hard to tell so I sectioned some. After opening them up there was no signs of problems.

I have my doubts… I’m sure I have more than they want to replace. I will try them and see what they say though.

You never know. They didn't bat an eye at my 200 pieces. It sounds like you have considerably more though. I would be bet at the very the least you'll get a portion replaced if not the whole batch.

Do headstamps say "Lapua Match 223 Rem"? Not saying it's any different but they used to mark the packaging as "match".

Lapua 223 brass started popping up on shootingbot last week so appears to be back in the supply chain.

Stamp shows 223 Rem match.

I’m guessing we won’t see it the rest of the year unless you get lucky.

Hardcore target shooters are going to buy it by the thousands when it pops up. Including myself.
