Sig Zulu6 Binos from Horse/Muleback?

Hi All,

Has anyone tried using these binos yet when riding?

The image stabilization is intriguing as everyone seems to rave about it when just hand holding them.

Yes, its why i bought them originally 3 years ago...Now i use them exclusively for everything. They work great in the saddle even if my horse puts his head down and eats

I've not used them from horseback, but I have used them from moving vehicles like a high-rack truck in Texas. They work shockingly well from unstable platforms. The first time I tried it, I spotted a coyote's head at 600 yards while we rocked and swayed over a nasty road. I was floored.

Thanks guys. Do you prefer a 12x or 16x from horseback or does it matter?

i have the 16x...work fine for me. The 12x would probably be a little easier to find what your lookin at. But i like the 16x for everything I do.

We have the 12's and 20's haven't tried the 16's but everyone that's compared picks the 12's

Yes they are awesome. Even good for when you have a lead rope in one hand and binos in the other.

Haven't used them off my mules, but I love mine. I got the 10s as they are light and worked great for me. The 12x and up seemed to have significantly less field of view than non stabilizing binos of similar magnification.
