How much are you looking to spend? If you can swing it, buy Swarovski. I'm still blown away with mine every time I use them. If those are more than your budget allows check into the Leica trinovids or vortex razors. I looked at the zeiss conquest hd and thought those were real nice too.

What kind of hunting do you do?
If your on a budget the Vortex Viper HDs treated me pretty good. I just got the Razor HDs last week so cant comment on them yet, but inkmow several ppl use them.

It would be tough to beat the SLC 8x42 in classified section right now at $1275 with Outdoorsman stud already installed.

For the money I personally think the Mavens and Meoptas are the best value. Swarovski and Leica probably have the best glass but also cost alot more for the small boost in optical performance over the Mavens and meoptas.

Yelp. The maven 11x b2's are hard to beat in that price point

I have the Meopta Meostars in 12x50. I have considered trying to find a pair of 10 or 8x42s to pair with them. Like someone else stated they seem to be one of the better values in high end glass.
