I could of swore he used 500 for the loadsling and the back of the bag where it comes in contact withe the frame bu can't seem to find it now ... Maybe I was wrong.

Pretty sure the 7200 was 160d and 500d, with 500d on the back of the pack and the load sling.

Probably is now, but it started out as 160 d. If not mistaken they had some durability issues with parts of the bag, so changing to 500d for specific areas is smart.

what is that "T-lock" made out of? it looks pretty lite for the main attachment point to the frame.

Probably plastic.I could be wrong, but I think the velcro is the main attachment point.

Yes. It seems OK, but take away foam from the straps to make it lighter? Please put the 4oz of foam back in my straps! I think that for a little more money, the Exo is going to be a much better pack and made in America.

Less foam in the straps made no difference in the feel with heavier weight. It's the way that the load is distributed throughout the strap that counts. The foam in the Icon shoulder straps widens out and compresses pretty flat after a few hunts. The Ultra suspension basically starts out (and stays that way) with the same padding volume and thickness as a broken in Icon strap.

Jason didn't mention it in the video, but there is a long vertical zipper for side access.

Hey guys,
I made it back to the booth and did a close up video on the straps and the T-lock. Give me a minute and I'll get it compressed and posted. They are tougher than they look

The T Lock holds the strap in position laterally, and is a guide for the vertical when adjusting. Once adjusted, the Velcro will hold the pad in place with minimal load on the T Lock.

Yes... but unless you know a way to levitate your heavy pack grom the ground to your back and all tight and adjusted, you haveve a ton of pressure on those points.

There is gonna be zero pressure on either of those little black things unless you have the torso completely maxed out, the velcro is where all the pressure is being applied

I agree... I was not arguing against this pack specifically at all, I was simply stating that that the strap has to be able to hold weight by itself even if the suspension and fit is great. I swing heavy loads up on to my back with one strap at... i would hate to be 5 miles in and tear a strap off.

The little black T lock is made by the duraflex group they make all kinds of plastic fasteners and fittings. I don't think I would be to concerned with the T lock shearing off.
