Was researching bino harness yesterday on google and an ad for the Kuiu Pro popped up at the top of the search, with a link to Amazon. Sure enough, there’s a Kuiu storefront. They don’t carry everything, but they have a few things. I decided what the heck and ordered the Bino harness from Amazon, figured the worst thing that happens is I return it to Amazon for a refund if it ends up being fake or sketchy.

The storefront is run by an E-commerce business from Utah, and it’s relatively new. All media and other marketing info looks legit too. Anyone else noticed or ordered Kuiu from Amazon?

Regardless of where a specific brand comes from, are you sure of what you think you want? I had the Kuiu original bino harness in size L, and it was perfect fit for my Swaro EL 10X42. So, when the Kuiu Pro harness came out, I ordered it in size L. They increased the size, (but still called it L) so much, that it would hold the same binos, plus a sandwich. I found another brand.

It says sold by Kuiu and fulfilled by Amazon so it seems legit.

The technical hunting clothing market is pretty saturated and I imagine the high $$ direct to consumer model is about tapped out for new customer growth potential, especially now that they already have whitetail and waterfowl line. Amazon is probably the easiest way to dip their toes into retail without a big long term commitment

Well aware of the Pro harness. This will be number 2 for me, I’m a huge fan.

To all who are wondering, I spoke with Kuiu yesterday. They’re slowly going to be rolling out on Amazon to help improve shipping times on popular items. They’ve only been selling on there for about a month. But I spoke with Carrie, and she confirmed it’s them selling direct still. Should lower the barrier to entry for new purchasers of their gear I would think, should be a good move I would think.

I suppose I question why anyone would have a problem with this - it's a quicker, more-accesible avenue to acquire the product. And it's pretty darn common; most, if not all, outdoor brands now have an amazon store. Sometimes there are better deals, faster shipping, etc. to purchase through amazon.

Fair. I probably should've resisted the impulse to post that comment. People also want to feel special, like they're getting some niche gear not accesible to, or known by, the general public. I get that - i want to feel special too!

Only issue I’d see is-They’re not using Amazon for free, uncle Jeff gets a cut. That cut isn’t going to hurt kuius bottom line because it will get passed on to the buyer.

Love my Kuiu Pro bino harness but I would never buy it from Amazon because Amazon controls the internet like a drug cartel and the company gets less of the money I pay which encourages cheaper products at the same high price to afford Amazon's huge margins they take/force

Happen to be in Canada on my way back from a moose hunt. Kuiu products are not available on Amazon.ca, but Sitka is.

I like Amazon, they will ship it to me, I can ship it back if I don’t like it. I don’t like bass pro, our local yocals don’t carry a large selection, what’s not to like? Ok, they are big, Walmart, caterpillar, Exxon, chevron, McDonald’s, etc aren’t big?

Oh shit is Kuiu the next sitka? Although I don't see many people selling kuiu. Is it a direct to consumer anyway?

I don't have any beef with Kuiu but not much experience either. I bought some pants from their sale earlier in the year and I actually really like them. So much so that I bought their rain gear too after a long period of research.

Did you read some of the comments? Obviously, many are from those who never took Business 101, Marketing 101, or have any common business sense. If Kuiu didn’t need help selling the product, they would not have solicited Amazon to start with. Kuiu can’t even keep their own sizing consistent. The original Kuiu bino harness in size L fit a pair of Swaro EL 10x42 binos perfectly. The Pro bino harness in size L would hold the same binos, plus a sandwich.
