The lumbar pad never bothered me. I noticed it was there on my first hike with a 60 lb load, but it did not rub or cause any pain. After that hike it seems to have molded to my lower back and haven't noticed it since.

they had them in stock when i ordered and unless it says sold out, i believe they still do.

there was only a 1 to 2 day wait time after i placed the order while they "assemble it?" and then it's shipped! got mine in 5 or 6 days i think
