Does adding the arca rail help with rigidity in the fore-end?I added a salmon river solutions rail so that I can run arca from my tripod and has a short pic attachment up front. I think this is a nice addition and makes this stock very versatile for me.
So those that have used the echo, would you say the Bravo is the overall better option for an extra $100? Especially if the extra few ounces is not a particular concern?
Comes with LOP spacers. So fixes that issue.
Flat bottom at the rear of the stock seems to be the preferred feature there.
Is it any stiffer? Advertises a full length aluminum backbone, so I would expect that if a stiffer forend is important to a person, the Bravo is much better?
I know the Echo is cheaper and lighter, but it also seems like they cut corners in a couple spots that guys here would usually say are priorities.
I’ve used both, have more experience with the Bravo. Yes the Bravo forend is stiffer bc of the full length aluminum. So those that have used the echo, would you say the Bravo is the overall better option for an extra $100? Especially if the extra few ounces is not a particular concern?

How bad is the flex in forened in the fieldstock vs the echo?
Iv been running the echo for a week.
....
Don't like :
Front action screw captured. Not an issue for seating the action just a pain
......
Not really but what flex is there is not an issue with the barrels I shoot.Does adding the arca rail help with rigidity in the fore-end?
Waters makes a reliable 10rd mag. Expensive but good. Are mamba mags the only ten round option for factory bottom metal/echo fitment?
Cool that was one reason I figured the bravo may be favored, the 10 round AICS mags work great in those. I don’t think I’ll get rid of my bravos but I’ll probably buy an echo for my next tikka assuming rokstocks are still waitlistedWaters makes a reliable 10rd mag. Expensive but good.
Sendero Barrel, removed the barrel channel insert.
I moved a .308 into the Bravo with CTR mags, plan to is to make that into a bulk shooter/not make anymore changes. If it were a primary hunting rifle I might worry about the CTR mags, or just carry a spare mag. Thanks for including the scale photos. Looks like you have a similar setup to me (Tikka CTR in a bravo).
From the photos, looks like yhe bravo is a CTR and comes in at 3 pounds 8 oz with a CTR mag, whereas going to the Echo with 5 round mag you’re at 2 pounds 14 oz.
After the reports of issues with CTR mags at the S2H class, I’m thinking of swapping my Bravo to an Echo with the CTR barreled action (it’s a 20” 6.5 creedmore).
Any thoughts on switching from the CTR bravo to the echo since you seem to have done the same thing?
Thank you, that’s helpful context. I am hoping to pick up a few rokstoks for hunting rifles so I agree with you there. Had a chance to use one this summer, there’s nothing better.I moved a .308 into the Bravo with CTR mags, plan to is to make that into a bulk shooter/not make anymore changes. If I was looking to drop weight I'd go with/wait for the Rokstok no question. For my purposes I was looking for a little extra weight for both the Bravo and Echo builds.
You’ll need a mag spring to get your CTR action to work with the echo. I can dig up a spare to send you if you need. But you’ll need to be comfortable removing the trigger and torquing it back down within an inch of its life.Thank you, that’s helpful context. I’m just torn on what to do with this Tikka 6.5C CTR. It’s a great setup in the bravo with the CTR mags but it is heavy enough I rarely grab it over my hunting rifles. I guess I’d hoped going with the echo would make it a bit more appealing to use more often, even if not for hunting.
Then again, they say everyone needs a good .308, which I don’t have so maybe I’ll just leave it as a 6.5 Creed in the Bravo with CTR mags and make it a .308 when the 6.5 barrel is shot out in a few years.

I like the extra weight in rifles I don’t intent to carry much. It’s very easy to raise the butt pad above bore with the Bravo, only mod I’ve made to mine.Thank you, that’s helpful context. I originally got the Echo specifically for a CTR bc I’ve had more than a few issues with the mags. Couldn’t wait to get a better stock & get factory mags. As mentioned you do need the mag retention spring.
Nothing wrong with a 10lb rifle in the mountains! I switched from Bravo to Echo and prefer it. The magazine system is way batter. Then I got a second one to try in the lighter contour. But the Rokstok is winning that comparison. After a few hundred rounds, Rokstok is better for Lite contour barrel but the Echo hangs in there right behind it. Echo is better for the CTR, way too nose heavy in the Rokstok. The Rokstok is off getting a 1” Decelerator currently or I’d have included comparison pics.
Do have to mention: haven’t had a single issue with factory mags in use but they don’t click into place easily with either one of my Echos. Hangs up on the front end. If you push up on the forward section of the bottom of the mag it doesn’t happen though. If for some reason you need fast mag changes that would be a consideration.
Here are some pics of a CTR next to a Lite contour, both in the Echo.

It’s the 24” version chopped to 23” to get rid of the threaded portion. Balance is forward but not overly so. I’d say perfect for a rifle that will be used solely from a rest.Thank you very much, this is great to see. Is that CTR the 24” version? If so how is the balance in the echo?
