Kowa Secondhand Warranty?

A few years ago a Kowa rep named Jeff was on here saying buying second hand was not an issue, the warranty stuck with the spotter. He hasn’t been on here for a few years and when I called Kowa’s Los Angeles office, the young lady that answered the phone was very nice but very unhelpful and pointed me to the website warranty. I read it and it says warranty good for original owner

Anyone have recent second hand warranty experience?

Doug, have you heard much about Kowa warranty for people that buy optics second hand?

I've never had any issues with Kowa when it comes to the rare times folks have needed repairs

I had to send a spotter in and they were great but I did get charged. It was absolutely worth it and great service.

Not 100% on that but as long as it was a spotter originally sold for the USA market, you should be good

Ah dang. Mine was straight from Japan. Well. We will see I guess, hopefully I don’t ever have to use the warranty!

Kowa told me there’s still warranty but you’ll need to send it back to Japan

That’s awesome. Shipping was actually super fast and cheap so that’s actually great news. Thank you for the info @TimberHunter!
