How do the kowa binoculars compare to the Swarovski? I might be upgrading my nikons. My use is southeastern whitetail hunting and prs.

Which Nikons do you have?

I looked really hard into Kowa, they have amazing glass in the genesis Xd.

From what I know, the Swaro will shine in low light and shadows.

Might also give meopta a look too, if budget is around that $1k mark

They are the monarch 7. I didn't include that earlier because I couldn't think of the model and couldn't get to them at that time. There is no specific budget just would like to know how different binoculars compare because I don't have the opportunity to compare a bunch of different ones. At the match yesterday I looked through a pair of slc and they were better than mine. Most people had vortex and I didn't try theirs.

For the price of new Kowa XD you can get a used pair of Swaro EL.

So with that, I don’t think you’d be disappointed in either route you go. Good luck, glass is definitely an analysis paralysis topic.

Not sure if they changed it, but I believe they do not have the threaded hole for a stud so you can mount it on a tripod. It may or may not matter to you.

Is the swaro's better then anything else? Is there a big differance between swaro and other brands or is it just small improvements? I would hate to upgrade for a just very slight better view. The slc I looked through were better than mine but I don't know if it was a huge upgrade.

Nothing compares to the Swaro NL Pures.

Below that grade, it's a lot of personal preference between Swaro ELs, Zeiss, and Leica.

On par with SLC maybe even closer to EL in my eyes. EL lead in edge to edge. But the Genesis are Very good.

I use the 10.5x44 and they are awesome. Solid build quality. Very natural tones and are great at handling glare. Next to no eye strain either, which matters if glassing for extended periods of time.

If you can find a pair on sale or demo, I think it’s a no brainer. If you got money to burn, maybe the swaro.
